King George V Playing Field
The playing field is located off the main A229 Loose Road; down Walnut Tree Lane (Albany Funerals are on the corner) It is a recreational area for the people of Loose and includes play areas, plus a large green open space. There is a small car park which can be used by visitors hiring the pavilion.
During the football season, the playing field is usually 'home' to various football teams and during the summer months there are a number of pre-booked activities. The Loose Fete is an annual event, normally held on the first Saturday in September, but due to Coronavirus restrictions did not take place this year. This annual community event is organised by some parish council members, plus representatives from local groups and residents from the local area.
If you are interested in getting involved with next year's fete, either on the day or generally helping in its organisation, then please contact the Clerks’ office.
Loose Parish Pavilion
Adjacent to the KGV playing field is the Parish Pavilion. This is the location for most of the main parish council and committee meetings. Members of the public are very welcome to attend.
Normally the pavilion is used as a meeting place for a number of groups including Mother & Baby/Toddler groups, WI, Brownies, Rainbows and Slimming World. It is also available for hire to the general public, businesses, community and charity organisations.
The pavilion hall and playing field are owned, managed and maintained, by Loose Parish Council.
Due to Coronavirus, the pavilion has been closed to the public. It is gradually being reopened for existing regular hirers, who provide risk assessments to meet with Government Covid-19 guidelines.
Please contact the clerk’s office for information on availability.
